At a special ceremony held today to declare open the 10-day Jal-Mahotsav at Hanuwantiya in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu distributed 14 awards sponsored by Adventure Tour operators association of India (ATOAI).
Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation was conferred the award for ‘Best Indian State to promote Adventure Tourism through the development of a tourism complex at Hanuwantiya. Executive Director MP Tourism Development Corporation O.P. Choudhary and Dr P.P. Singh received the award on behalf of the corporation.
Jal Mahotsav – water festival 2Besides, ‘Best Adventure Travel Website’ an Award was conferred on Adventure Nation. Similarly, ‘Best Popular Adventure Camp’ Award was given to Atali Ganga. Flyboy Aviation was conferred the award for promoting air adventure. This organisation is known for the everlasting adventure of free flying in India, Jumping Adventure Private Limited has been awarded for the promotion of adventure activities on the ground and M.V. Mahabahu received the award for adventure activities in water. Binsar Forest Retreat was conferred the award for New Innovative Product. Award for Excellence in Community and Adventure-based Tourism was given to Pugmark Eco Tours Private Limited. Innovation and Adventure Travel related award was given to Life Straws and A & S Creation. Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred to Basant Limaye, Hall of Fame Award to Mohan Tikku, Friend of Adventure Award to Indian Mountaineering Foundation and President’s Award for Game Changer in the Adventure Travel Industry went to Dekath Fall Sport India. The Award for Promotion for Adventure Travel was conferred to Jammu-Kashmir Tourism, Sustainability in Adventure Travel Award to Sikkim Tourism and the award to an upcoming State for promoting Adventure Travel went to Maharashtra Tourism.
