About Ashish

Ashish Rana came to professional guiding in 2023 and has already built an unusually mountain-heavy record for a guide at this stage. On the water he has run the Brahmaputra, Subansiri, Kali, Bhagirathi, Ganga and Zanskar. Away from the river his expedition list includes Parang La, Friendship Peak, the Great Lakes of Kashmir, Markha Valley, Kang Yatse II and The Traverse, along with routes across Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh and Kashmir. He holds a Basic Mountaineering Course qualification and a Trek Leadership Certificate alongside Wilderness First Aid and CPR, and guides in Hindi, English and Garhwali.
