About Harendra

Known to guests as Harry Rana, Harendra Singh Rana has guided since 2013 and works as a safety kayaker as well as a raft guide, which often places him downstream of a rapid rather than in it. His rivers include the Ganga, Alaknanda, Bhagirathi, Tons, Kali, Zanskar, Brahmaputra, Subansiri and Kameng. In the mountains he has summited Kang Yatse II and completed Stok Kangri, the Great Lakes of Kashmir, Tosa Maidan, Markha Valley, Parang La, Har Ki Dun and Dayara Bugyal. He carries both Basic and Advanced Mountaineering Course qualifications and is certified as a Whitewater Rescue Instructor, alongside Wilderness First Aid, CPR and Swiftwater Rescue.
