About Vikas
Vikas Negi is from Uttarakhand and has guided since 2018 on the Alaknanda, Bhagirathi, Zanskar, Narmada, Ganga and Mahakali, working both commercial rafting trips and multi-day expeditions in remote country. He is as much a mountaineer as a river guide, with a successful ascent of Kang Yatse II at 6,250 metres and extensive trekking across Ladakh, Kashmir and Uttarakhand. He holds a Basic Mountaineering Course qualification and a Trek Leadership Certificate alongside Wilderness First Aid, CPR and Swiftwater Rescue, and guides in Hindi, English and Garhwali.
