Atali Ganga begins with Aquaterra Adventures, the Indian Himalayan outfitter founded in 1995 by Vaibhav Kala. Before there was a hotel on this hillside, there were years of river descents, mountain routes, expedition logistics and guide judgement.

That field experience is the spine of the property. This is an adventure hotel in Rishikesh shaped by people who know the Ganga, white-water rafting, trail days and mountain weather from the inside.

Opened in 2012, Atali Ganga was built as a basecamp rather than a conventional resort: a place where active days outside could end in comfort, warm food, stillness and deep sleep.

Set above the Ganga between Rishikesh and Devprayag, the property connects adventure, nature, architecture and renewal without flattening the mountain into a generic hotel experience.

The architecture was designed to belong to the slope. Local stone, reed and galvanized gabion boxes give the property a material language that feels grounded rather than ornamental.

Hillside cottages, private verandahs and glazed walls open the rooms to the landscape, while the overall layout keeps the property sensitive to the reserved forest and the 2000+ trees that shape the estate.
